The Practice

The Practice is located on a major road leading north out of Bolton. It has been established for over 23 years, and the interior has been completely modernized, and includes the latest equipment, digital radiography, and full computerization both clinically and clerically. There are six dentists including an Oral surgeon, a hygienist, a Therapist, a Practice Manager, and eight Dental Nurses. We are a Denplan Excel Accredited Practice, and see a mix of NHS and Private patients in a modern, hard working and friendly practice. We provide a full range of Dental Treatments including BriteSmile tooth whitening.

The trainer

I qualified from Manchester in 1981, and was an associate in Manchester City Centre for 3 years. I then bought the Practice in Bolton as a small single handed Practice, but have expanded to its current status. I also ran another Practice in Sale, South Manchester for 14 years, until I sold it 7 years ago. We did a Denplan conversion for NHS fee paying adults in 1996, and I was involved in the Pilot study for Denplan Excel, and became accredited in 2001. I was a new trainer 3 years ago, and have really enjoyed the new challenges, so have decided to apply again. The practice started early PDS in February 2005. I am married (my wife is the Practice Manageress) with 4 children – the eldest is nearly 22 years old. My interests include all sports, especially football and rugby, eating out, visits to the theatre, holidays and cars.

The area

The practice is 5 minutes drive to the North-west of Bolton Town Centre, and also only 20 minutes from Manchester City Centre. At the top of Halliwell Road are the hills of Rivington Pike, and at the bottom is a new large sporting and entertainment complex. Bolton offers something for everyone.

Bolton and the surrounding areas have an extensive range of flats and houses to rent or buy.
